Tactical voting

For the first time in decades, fully independent opinion polls such as Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now  and Election Maps UK are predicting a Labour win in this seat.  This is the time.

At this General Election I would encourage every local person who lives in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich and who wants an end to the chaos of Conservative Government to vote Labour.

Labour have come second in elections every time in recent decades except once.  Labour is the only Party that in 2024 can finally give Central Suffolk and North Ipswich both a change of Government and a change of MP.  Even the current Tory MP in this area said recently that the Conservative Party now was not the same Party that he had joined.

I need support from a number of different groups of local people, not just those who always vote Labour.  I am also a member of Labour for Electoral Reform because I think we need to reform the House of Commons and update the current First Past the Post system which forces our politics to focus on a small number of swing voters in marginal constituencies while neglecting the majority of seats.   As a result, millions of people and communities feel neglected and their needs ignored. That cannot be right.

As Keir Starmer, who will make a brilliant Prime Minister if given the chance to serve, says:

“the UK needs both a new government and a new way of governing” – one that trusts people “with the power to control their destiny”.

I personally believe that this can only happen with a proportional electoral system that ensures everyone has a vote that counts.

For the first time in decades, fully independent opinion polls such as Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now  and Election Maps UK are predicting a Labour win in this seat.  This is the time.

So for that to happen. I am asking the many Lib Dem and Green voters in this constituency to lend Labour and me their vote at the 2024 General Election to help us get the change that so many people want  – here in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, and across our region and the whole of this wonderful nation.
